The dashboard gives you a real-time overview of your entire tool and equipment operation. Monitor key metrics, spot trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Dashboard Overview
When you log in to ToolEquip, the dashboard is your home base. It displays a summary of your most important metrics and alerts. The layout is customizable — drag and drop widgets to match your priorities.
Key Metrics
The default dashboard includes these metric widgets:
- Total Tools — Count of all tools in your inventory
- Tools in Use — Currently checked out tools
- Available Tools — Tools ready for use
- Overdue Returns — Tools past their expected return date
- Maintenance Due — Upcoming and overdue maintenance tasks
- Tools Under Repair — Tools currently being serviced
Widgets
Add, remove, and arrange widgets to build the perfect dashboard:
- Activity Feed — Recent check-ins, check-outs, and tool updates in real time
- Popular Tools — Most frequently checked-out tools this month
- Location Map — Geographic distribution of your tools across sites
- Category Breakdown — Tool count and value by category
- Maintenance Calendar — Upcoming maintenance tasks in a monthly view
- Utilization Chart — Tool usage trends over time
- Status Distribution — Pie chart of tool statuses
- Recent Alerts — Latest system notifications and alerts
Custom Dashboards
Create multiple dashboards for different purposes:
- Executive Dashboard — High-level metrics for leadership
- Maintenance Dashboard — Focus on maintenance tasks and compliance
- Site Dashboard — Metrics for a specific job site or location
- Compliance Dashboard — Calibration and certification status
Exporting Dashboard Data
Export any widget's data to CSV or PDF for sharing with stakeholders. Schedule automatic dashboard snapshots to be emailed to specific recipients on a recurring basis.
Dashboard Permissions
What you see on the dashboard depends on your role:
- Owner/Admin — Full dashboard with all metrics and customization options
- Manager — Access to team and location-specific dashboards
- Employee — Personal dashboard showing checked-out tools and assigned tasks
- Viewer — Read-only access to shared dashboards
